The Ralph Hogges and Benjamin Cowins Writers Group of South Florida are bringing together several South Florida writers for an evening of literary fun. The Speak, Sign and Sell event will celebrate South Florida’s writers of color.
The free event is scheduled for Feb. 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pentecostal Tabernacle PenTab Academy,18415 N.W. 7th Ave. in Miami Gardens.
Some of the featured authors include Rose Stiffin: Reflections, Benjamin Cowins, Sr.: The Vietnam War – Black Bullets, Flashbacks & Untold Truths, Diana Jackson: Through These Brown Eyes and Shelly Cameron: Success Strategies Workbook, Tameka Bradley Hobbs: Democracy Abroad, Lynching at Home: Racial Violence in Florida, Sharon Ritchie-Brown: Retribution of Madness, Rosemarie Cole: Romance 31 amd Delores Smiley: The Harvest: Keeping it Real The following authors will also be in attendance, Alastair Samuel Basden – Called: A Theological and Practical Guide to Christian Leadership, Valda Hayden: Through the Valley, Ralph Hogges: Seven Short Stories and Eight Poems, Indiana Robinson: The ABCs of APA: An Incoming Student Inspirational Guide and Susan Davis: Ode to Miss Lou… From the Soul of Dr. Sue and I am Jamaica.
In addition to reading from their works, the authors will also participate in a Question and Answer session before signing copies of their books, which will be available for purchase.
